A huge number of spindles have been discovered in their houses which indicates that spinning of cotton and wool was common among the people. Spindles and spindle-whorls were made of terracotta or porcelain. The discovery of a dyer’s vat on the site reveals that they were familiar with the art of dyeing their fabrics.
