With reference to the Jurisdiction of High Courts, Note on ‘Court of Record’

The Court of Record: All the proceedings and decisions of the High Court are kept as records for future references. The Subordinate Courts of the High Court itself decide similar cases in the future in the light of the judgments passed by the High Courts of different States.
